INSTALLATION

Hey,
Steam(ing pile of shit) activated the activation for F.E.A.R 2: Project Origin so I decided to make an install guide.

1. Put disc 1 into the drive and run Setup.exe. If autorun doesn’t come up, go to My Computer and browse to the disc and manually run it.
   Note: You might want to disable your antivirus program if you know it’s very protective.
2. The splash screen will come up, along with some nice sound effects. Click the installation button and accept the EULA.

3. You’ll be prompted for your serial key. Enter it carefully and click next.

4. It will start preparing the installation and build a local game cache.

5. When you click next, it’ll begin installing from disc. This can take a while so be patient.
   IMPORTANT: When it starts gets to around 7500MB, keep the install window in focus. It may be boring, but if it’s not the active window when it asks for the next disc, it crashes. If it does that, you have to kill the steam process through task manager and restart it. It will begin downloading the rest, but it’s quicker if you just delete the local files and re-install from the beginning.

6. Eventually, it asks for disc 2 – put it in, and hit okay. The installation process will continue.

7. Now just wait for it to finish, and it gives you a nice little confirmation box.

Success!

That is it. Fairly simple as far as installing goes.
